The site is located in the Bloomsbury Conservation area in central London and is surrounded by Grade II Listed Georgian terraces. The proposal creates a mixed-use development of office accommodation on the ground floor and housing above, accessed from a first floor terrace. The design was praised by Camden Planning as an innovative solution to a complex and sensitive site and was shortlisted for the London Architecture Biennale ‘Urban Interventions’ Exhibition and the RIBA Housing Design Awards 2006.
